DC’s epic summer event Absolute Power features Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other heroes battling a “Trinity of Evil” led by Amanda Waller

“Absolute Power: A New DC Summer Event with Far-Reaching Ramifications for the Heroes of the DC Universe”

DC Comics fans are in for a treat this summer as a new event, Absolute Power, is set to shake up the DC universe. The event will bring together a “trinity of evil” – Amanda Waller, Braniac, and Failsafe – who are on a mission to eliminate the world’s metahumans.

Absolute Power is a massive event, spanning eight separate titles and 15 issues. The event kicks off with the Absolute Power Free Comic Book Day Special Edition, a 32-page one-shot featuring an original story by Mark Waid and Mikel Janín. This special edition will be available for free in participating comic shops on Saturday, May 4.

The event continues with Absolute Power Ground Zero, a prelude to the main event where the key to capturing all metahuman powers on Earth will be unlocked. This special issue will bridge recent events in Batman, Superman, Action Comics, and Suicide Squad: Dream Team. Absolute Power Ground Zero is set to be released on June 25.

The main event, Absolute Power, is a four-part limited series written by Mark Waid and drawn by Dan Mora. In this series, Amanda Waller, Failsafe, and the Brainiac Queen capture the powers of every metahuman on Earth, plunging the planet into chaos. Batman forms a resistance movement to fight back against the villains. Absolute Power #1 is set to be released on July 3.

In addition to the main series, there will be tie-in titles in Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, as well as companion series like Absolute Power: Task Force VII. These tie-in titles will explore the events of Absolute Power from different perspectives and add depth to the overall story.

With a star-studded creative team and a gripping storyline, Absolute Power promises to be a must-read event for DC Comics fans. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to witness the epic showdown between heroes and villains in the DC universe.
