Indian superhero graphic novel ‘Minnal Murali’ unveiled by Rana Daggubati and Tinkle Comics

Minnal Murali graphic novel launched at Mumbai Comic-Con!

The Minnal Murali graphic novel was recently launched at the Mumbai Comic-Con event, marking a significant milestone for Indian superheroes and comics. The graphic novel is based on the popular 2021 Malayalam film Minnal Murali, which tells the story of a tailor and a marginalized individual who gain superpowers after a lightning strike.

Rana Daggubati, the actor behind Baahubali, expressed his excitement about the project, stating that it reaffirms the love for Indian superheroes and comics. This collaboration between Spirit Media and Tinkle Comics is the first venture into graphic novels for Tinkle Comics, known for characters like Suppandi and Shikari Shambu.

Preeti Vyas, President and CEO of Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle, highlighted the successful transformation of film franchises into books with this project. Gayathri Chandrasekaran, editor-in-chief of Tinkle Comics, shared her excitement about bringing a new Minnal Murali story to life in this dynamic format.

In addition to his involvement with Minnal Murali, Rana Daggubati is also working on other projects, including a talk show called The Rana Connection set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. He will also portray a tech-savvy antagonist in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Vettaiyan. With these diverse ventures, Daggubati continues to expand his acting repertoire.
